Look what I can do!
Keeping up with a 10 month old has significantly decreased the amount of time we are able to spend in front of the computer. However, since we realized it will be almost 2 months since we've been home and that he will be 1-year-old in less than 6 weeks, we decided it was time to post an update. Pictures are worth 1000 words, so we'll let them do the talking. Here's what Nicholas has been up to the past 2 months:
Giving out kisses (Tonight he started giving open-mouth kisses to a reflection of himself in a mirror at the end of a book. Then he realized that if he blew a "raspberry" or spit on the book it made a funny noise. He had both of us laughing, but I couldn't catch it on camera since I was home alone. Bummer, because it was hilarious! I love it when kids crack themselves up! :))
Learning that grown-up things are much more fun than little-boy toys!
Playing with his favorite toy - the Vtech Train.
Discovering the bookshelf. For some reason, Daddy's books are a lot more interesting than that whole shelf of kid books down below!
Helping, or should we say supervising, Daddy while he puts on the fireplace guards.
Putting the fireplace guards to good use. "This is why you put them up, right? So I can climb up here?"
Crawling... getting faster each day!
Crawling in...
Crawling through...
Choosing the neat teething biscuit (aka rice rusk) over the messy wheat teething biscuit. Daddy was so proud of his clean boy!
Getting ready to ride in the bike trailer... after putting some clothes on!
Trying out the hot tub.
Learning to look under the door to where Daddy was sleeping (good thing he doesn't yet know how to say, "Wake up, Daddy!").
