As Kevin stated yesterday, "It wasn't as good as a travel call, but it certainly was a nice surprise!"
We received updated photos and a copy of Nicholas's 7 month progress report from the agency yesterday. Since we were told we wouldn't hear anything unless it was bad news, I quickly read through everything to make sure all was well and then I went back and enjoyed all the pictures. Okay, that's a slight stretch of the truth... I got stuck looking at this first picture where he is looking at the picture of us in the book we sent him. It's very possible that this is the first time he saw us. I would say his initial reaction is quite favorable! :)

After I dried the tears from my eyes, I moved on to read the progress report. It sounds like Nicholas is doing wonderful in his foster home. He is now rolling over, prop sitting, standing with support, and starting solid foods (very small amounts of rice porridge, grated apples, pumpkins, and yogurt). As of February 1st, he was already 19.8 pounds and 26 inches so he appears to be thriving in all areas! I think we'll have to take some of those 6-9 month outfits back and focus on the 12 month sizes!
Below are a few more of the pictures they sent. Since we still haven't heard anything about a visa interview at the US Embassy in Seoul, these pictures are a wonderful way to "tide us over" as we wait. In the mean time, I still have a few more Velcro tabs to sew on the bumper pads and then the nursery will be ready! We'll be sure to post pictures of that soon since many of you keep asking (and I'm not very good at describing what it looks like!).
Enjoy the photos!

Pucker up!
